They modernized our seven-year-old Java + XML app to Kotlin + Compose in four months. We were on the brink of Play Store removal — target SDK was four versions behind. They got us current, dropped APK size 38%, and ANRs went from 1.8% to 0.2%.

Why iVentureTeam

Why teams pick iVentureTeam for Android.

Android isn't just Kotlin — it's the target-SDK treadmill, fragmentation, Material 3, Play policies, and Vitals. We've been on it since Gingerbread.

01

Kotlin + Compose default

We build new apps in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose. Java + XML stays in maintenance buckets. The productivity and recruitability gains pay back fast.

02

Target SDK on the treadmill

Google ratchets target SDK every August. We track the changes, ship the migration before the deadline, and survive the Play Store target-SDK enforcement that knocks half the market offline annually.

03

Material 3 + Dynamic Color

We build Material 3-native: tonal palettes, dynamic color from wallpaper (Android 12+), large-screen layouts, predictive back, edge-to-edge. Apps feel like Pixel apps, not iOS knock-offs.

04

Real-device fragmentation matrix

Every release tested on a documented matrix — Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, a foldable, and a low-RAM 4 GB Android Go device. Bugs surface here, not in Play Store reviews.

05

Enterprise Android depth

Android Enterprise enrollment, managed Google Play, work profiles, OEMConfig, MDM (Intune, Workspace ONE), Play Integrity / SafetyNet — we've shipped apps inside regulated industries.

06

Play policy fluency

Data safety forms, declared permissions, target SDK rules, AI-generated content disclosures, restricted-permissions justifications — we've handled them all. Last 14 apps approved without rejection.

Android apps we build for these industries.

Frequently asked questions

What Android app development services does iVentureTeam offer?

We offer end-to-end Android app development — custom Kotlin + Jetpack Compose apps, tablet and foldable apps, Wear OS / Android TV / Android Auto, enterprise Android with MDM and Android Enterprise, Java → Kotlin and XML → Compose modernization, ML Kit / TensorFlow Lite / Gemini Nano integration, Play Store submission with ASO, and ongoing support. We engage as fixed-price builds, dedicated Android engineers, or modernization sprints.

How much does Android app development cost?

Android app development cost depends on scope, design polish, and integrations. A focused MVP typically lands between $18K–$45K. A feature-complete phone + tablet app sits in the $40K–$100K range. Enterprise Android with MDM, SSO, and ERP integration starts around $65K. A dedicated senior Android engineer is $4,000–$6,000/month. We give a written quote after a 30-minute scoping call.

Kotlin or Java — which should we use?

Kotlin for everything new. Google has been Kotlin-first since 2019 and most new Jetpack APIs only ship Kotlin idiomatic versions. Java stays in maintenance for existing codebases — we'll migrate incrementally rather than big-bang. The Kotlin productivity gain is roughly 25–40% less code, better null safety, and easier hiring.

Jetpack Compose or XML layouts?

Compose for all new builds. Compose has been Google's recommended UI toolkit since 2021, ships better tooling, and is now stable on tablets, foldables, Wear OS, TV, and Auto. XML layouts stay for maintenance only. If you have an existing XML codebase, we migrate screen-by-screen — Compose interops fully with View / Fragment.

How long does it take to develop an Android app?

Most production Android apps ship in 10–14 weeks from kickoff to Play Store launch. A focused MVP can launch in 6–8 weeks. Tablet + foldable + Wear OS add typically adds 2–4 weeks. Enterprise apps with MDM, SSO, and ERP integration usually land in the 14–18-week range.

Do you handle Google Play submission and policy compliance?

Yes — submission is included in every fixed-price build. We handle Play Console setup, data safety form, target SDK and 16 KB page-size compliance, Play Integrity / SafetyNet, restricted-permissions justifications, ASO copy + screenshots + feature graphic, the actual submission, and any back-and-forth with Play Review. Our last 14 apps were approved without rejection.

Can you build Wear OS, Android TV, and Android Auto apps?

Yes. We build Wear OS standalone apps (workout, health, tiles, complications), Android TV / Google TV apps for streaming and content, Android Auto integrations for navigation and audio, Cast (Chromecast) experiences, and ChromeOS / Chromebook-optimized builds. Typically shares a Kotlin module with the phone app for business logic.

Do you support Android Enterprise and MDM?

Yes. We deliver apps for Android Enterprise — managed Google Play, fully managed devices, work profiles, COPE (corporate-owned personally-enabled), OEMConfig managed configurations, Per-app VPN, SSO (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC), and MDM integration with Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf, and Kandji. We've shipped apps inside Fortune 500 device fleets.

How do you handle target SDK and Play Store policy updates?

Google ratchets the minimum target SDK every August — if you don't update, your app gets hidden from the Play Store. We track the policy roadmap, schedule SDK upgrades 2–3 months ahead of deadlines, and bake compatibility (16 KB page sizes, Predictive Back, edge-to-edge) into every release. Apps we maintain have a 100% record of staying on the Store through Android version transitions.
